"Retro RAdio"
Television Cabinet

This piece was inspired by the beautiful art deco table radios of the late 1920’s through the early 1940’s. The doors open 90 degrees and slide into the cabinet providing an unobstructed view of the television. The lower black “grille” is a drawer to house tapes and discs. The predominant wood is padauk, with African satinwood veneer and ebonized walnut. The applied side grille, column rings and door pulls are black crackle lacquer over a yellow lacquer base coat.
